I'm Still Here, Buddies

Hi Every-buddy--

Just wanted to let you all know that we are all fine here, but our computer has now been completely un-usable for over a week now. Momma told the technical men on the phone three weeks ago that she had two hardware problems, and she spent 10 days wrestling with them until they agreed that there was one hardware problem, and then when she tried to re-install the computer's operating system, she couldn't, because the other hardware problem is that the D-drive is not working correctly. When she pointed out that she had told them that the D-drive was the other hardware problem Two Weeks Ago, the technical men said,
"oh, I guess so."
Momma has been saying a lot more bad words about technical men who don't listen to women and about crappy computers and about other stuff. She has been good about using me as a model, though. I tell her:

1) nap
2) eat some kibbles: you'll feel better (although she has been substituting M&M's and Girl Scout cookies for kibbles)
3) take another nap
4) look out the window for a while
5) eat a few more kibbles
Sometimes, things are just hard. And you have to find ways to get through it. Right?
So I asked her to please put this update up when she goes to the office to use the computer to work on her dissertation, because my buddies have been worried about me. She is very stressed out about getting her own work done, but she agreed to do this for me. Just letting you know that we are okay, and I look forward to catching up with all of you this coming week when we have a computer again!

hi, jimmie joe! we's glad to hear you is ok. sounds like yer mom has some of the same prollems our mom has--an' some of the same cat-approved solutions! ;-) we'll be glad to see ya again whenefur your puter gets fixed.

they build an' fix puters where our mom works. sometimes a puter is in such bad shape, they hasta slaughter a chick-hen inna back room an' wave it ofur the puter to fix it. but that's awright; then they has a fixed computer AND a cook-out onna loading dock!

Good luck to your Mom on her dissertation!!!

We hope your puter problems are fixed soon. We are lucky we have 2 puter experts in the house and Mommy isn't half bad, but she says the people at our ISP are in-furr-ate-ing (whatever that means, but it is usually accompanied by bad words, so we think they must be very BAD).

We know how you feel Jimmy Joe. It is so annoying to not have a computer. Hopefully the tech man will listen to your Momma from now on!

Whew Jimmy Joe, we are so relieved that you are okay. Sometimes computers really suck, and that sure does get our Mommas stressed out! Just give her lots of purrs and headbutts and she will relax in no time!
Purrs and headbutts to you and your Momma,

I'm glad to hear that everything's OK and that it's just a computer frustration issue. That is good advice you gave your mom. It seems that everything always happens at once. I just hope this doesn't stress your mom out too much.

Oh no, what a PITA. This definitely calls for Girl Scout cookies! (IMO boxes and boxes :-p) I hope she's able to get it fixed soon. I know this must be very stressful. I'm glad, other than that, all of you are fine :-)

We are glad you are okay. We are sorry you are having problems with your computer. Mom often runs into problems when she tries to tell computer technicians what the problem is and they don't believe her. It usually takes a couple of threats of speaking to a boss to get them to believe she knows what she is talking about.
