Wordy Wednesday: Coco's Meme

Hi Kittieeeees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jimmy Joe's sister, Coco the Wiener Dog here. JJ said he's told you all about me before. I am so excited that I get to write on Jimmy Joe's bloggie for all of you because I love kitties! I love kitty crunchies and kitty treats and I sleep curled up like a kitty and Jimmy Joe and I both love to sleep on the Boppy pillow:

I also get bugged all the time with the flashy box when I'm trying to take a nap. Naps are very important for wiener dog beauty sleep. We need lots of peace and quiet and blankets and pillows.

Well, Leah the Mosaic Dawg tagged me for the Three Things meme. This meme was created by the charming cats at http://www.petspics.blogspot.com/:
What three things would you do that you have never done before, if you knew you wouldn't get caught, get in trouble, or suffer any consequences?

1) I would bark all day long!!! Bark bark bark bark bark bark bark bark! Mommie yells at me for barking, and so I only bark when someone who doesn't live in our apartment building comes in. Or when I hear a person or a dog right outside. But I love the sound of my own bark, and I would love to bark bark bark all day! Or at least when I'm awake.

2) I would push all of the pillows into the middle of the bed and scrunch up the blankies and the comforter and curl up in the middle, and Mommie could lie on the side of the bed to snuggle. She insists on having most of the pillows, and pushes me to the side when I try to get on her pillows, and says "this is my side!", and then I only have a small part of the bed and only one pillow, which is not enough for a wiener dog. And then when Jimmy Joe gets up, too, I have even less room! Honestly. It's amazing that I stay as beautiful as I do when it is so hard to get proper beauty sleep around here.

3) I would eat a whole jar of peanut butter!!! Mmmmm.....peanut butter....if only it didn't give me the poops...

I tag Roxy the Devil Dog, because her sister Lucky wrote the meme but I don't think Roxy has yet!

Bye, Kittieeeees!!!

Midnight Monday

Hi every-buddy! I hope you had a great weekend. We had a visitor this weekend: Momma's Uncle Barry from Colorado, who visits once a year or so. He puts shoes on horses (did you know horses have to wear shoes? And Momma says horses' shoes are way more expensive than the ones she buys at Target. I didn't know horses were such fashion divas). He is an excellent appreciator of cats (and doggies), so he was a good visitor. The only frustrating thing was Saturday night dinner:
Our friends Miss Diana and Mr. Andrei came over to meet Uncle Barry and join us for dinner, and so Momma made roast chicken and baked pork chops and yummy apple-raisin stuffing. A perfect dinner for a kitty, right? Well, I kept tapping Miss Diana and Mr. Andrei, asking for a plate, but they didn't give me one! So then I thought, well maybe you're just supposed to help yourself, so I walked across the couch to get to the platter on the coffee table, and I got a big splash of water in my face!!! I don't think Momma is a very good hostess, to tell you the truth.

In other news, Mosaic Dawg tagged my sister Coco for the "Three Things" meme, and she is quite excited and said that she is going to think up the best Three Things ever. So I told her she can post that tomorrow.

OK, so in honor of Midnight Monday, I thought I would post about my cousin Sophie at Granny and Poppa's house. Sophie is a fun gal and we like to play together. (pppst: she is much nicer than her bratty tabby little sister Sassy.) Sophie likes hanging out on her play-set, chasing mice, and sleeping on Granny's bed. She has super-soft black furs and great yellow eyes.

I bet she misses me!

Thursday Three

Earl Grey tagged me for a meme the other day. Thanks, EG! So I'm gonna do a "Thursday Three" instead of a "T13".

The rules are: you have to post who tagged you and link back to them and then to www.petspics.blogspot.com. Then you have to tag 3 other kitties, beans, woofies, or any other assorted animal.

What three things would you do that you have never done before, if you knew you wouldn't get caught, get in trouble, or suffer any consequences?

Hmm, let's see...

1) I would eat the daisies! A whole vase of them. That is, if it didn't make me yakk all day and Momma didn't get upset.

2) I would get up on the counter and eat the fried fish right out of the pan.

3) I would whap every thing off of the walls and push it around the floor and then watch Momma put them all back up and do it all over again!!!

I'm gonna tag:
Faz, because she is a creative gal
Rocky, over at Artsy Catsy, because he works hard, I think he deserves to day-dream a little about his leisure time
and William of Mass Destruction, because he has a lot of sibling cats to keep an eye on, and I bet he'd love to cut loose!

Catching up on Friday

I'm back, every-buddy! Sorry to be absent for so long. Momma's hacking was really gross and it kept me from getting a good night's sleep, and then Wednesday was the horrible event again: I got the pink pill shoved down my throat and hallucinated in the prison box in the car all day. Oh man, what a headache yesterday morning.
But I'm feelin' good today and I'm glad to be back! Chancy and Sunny gave me an award! The You Make My Day Award is presented to bloggers whose blog brings you happiness and inspiration and makes you feel happy about Blogland.
Thanks, buddies! This made my day, and I am glad that we are back in our own 'partment and everything is back to normal (except for Momma's nose, which is still gross).
Yesterday Momma put everything back in order and put away the Christmas decorations and took down the cards we had gotten. I loved looking at all of my holiday cards:

I got one from Kellie the Orange Cat

and the Meezers

and the Furry Kids

and then Momma picked up a ginormous stack of mail yesterday and I was so excited to get even more cards from all of my buddies!!! Adan, Gretchen, and Eric and Flynn sent beautiful Christmas cards, too! I asked Momma why we didn't send out cards and she look embarrassed and said,

"Well, I have a lot of writing and records to get done right before the holidays and I don't really have the money for lots of postage," and I said,

"And because you're lazy?"

and she sighed and said,
"Yes, that's true, too."

So I said, "that's okay, Momma" to make her feel better, and I hope you all understand, too. But thank you all for the beautiful cards you sent! Momma said she's gonna get me a scrapbook to keep my cards and pictures from my buddies.

Monday Meme

Hi Every-buddy! Momma came back on Saturday afternoon but she is really gross. She keeps blowing her nose and tossing and turning and getting up in the middle of the night and hacking. I know I should be helping her feel better, but since she up and left me for 8 days and then comes back with a cold, I have decided to sleep on the couch for a few days.

Trixie, Tripper, and Tigmut'hep all tagged me for the Seven Things Meme, so here goes:
The Rules: Link to the person that tagged you and post the rules on your blog. Share seven random and/or weird facts about yourself. Tag seven random people at the end of your post, and include links to their blogs. Let each person know they have been tagged by leaving a notification on their blog.

1) I like to hang out in the Full Monty position.
2) I like to play, but I don't like to have to run around too much. Coco's great to play with because I can lay on my side and she runs around and lunges and growls and I can whack her without having to move too much. Conserves energy.
3) I like meeting other kitties and doggies, too. Sometimes, when I'm in front of our 'partment building, a doggie walks by and barks, and so I walk across the yard to meet it, and sometimes it gets scared and hides behind its Bean's legs! That's really funny, hahahahaha!
4) I let Momma take care of my grooming upkeep, clipping my front claws and brushing my furs and my teeths, but the back feets are OFF LIMITS. Don't mess with my feets.
5) I'm really good at climbing trees. Even when I climb really high, I can get right back down.
6) I like to hunt with my sister Coco the Wiener Dog. I know a lot of you out there might say that hunting is a solo sport, but I find that it makes it a lot easier to get something when you have a buddy.
7) I am a very good houseguest. I am polite to everybuddy in my hosts' house, and I even let little mini-Beans scrunch me if they're around, and I eat whatever the hosts are serving, and I make myself right at home.

I don't know who hasn't done this Meme by now, so if you haven't yet, I tag you!

Waiting

Hi Every-buddy. Well, Momma left last Friday and Granny told me that she won't be back until Saturday! Luckily Granny and Poppa are taking good care of me and Coco and Sophie and I have been playing so it's not too bad. Thanks, Tripper and Trixie and Tigmut'hep for tagging me for the Seven Things meme! I'll get Momma to help me with that when she gets back, so I have a few days to contemplate how I'm weird.

And thanks for all of the birthday wishes for Momma! That made her really happy.

Thursday Thirteen

Since today is my momma's birthday, I thought I would list thirteen great things about her:
1) She buys me expensive tastee t/d kibbles, even though she is a poor graduate student.

2) She tells me on a regular basis how handsome I am.
3) She brushes my nice furs and keeps my claws trimmed.

4) She lets me go outside and lets me in as soon as I knock on the window.

5) She grows me catnip.

6) She even brings my catnip plant when we travel to Granny and Poppa's.

7) She takes good care of my sister Coco. (Actually, I think she spoils Coco, but Coco says that's just how you take care of wiener dogs. I'm not sure about that...)

8) She plays with me and gets my mousies out from under the refrigerator.

9) She gives me cream in the morning.

10) She keeps the latrine clean.

11) She gives good face scritches.

12) She gives great shoulder and armpit massages.

13) She helps me blog!

Happy New Year!

HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERY-BUDDY!
We stayed up until midnite last night watching Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire movies, and Sophie and I played chase all over the house, we were so excited. I am still at Granny and Poppa's house, because we celebrate New Year's Day today with steaks (mmm) and then Momma's birthday is on Thursday. But we are going to roast her a turkey tomorrow, because she just told me she is leaving me --again--on Friday. She is going to go to Los Angeles to see Peach's momma and some other people, leaving me and Coco here for a whole week. I sure do hope Granny remembers to fill my magic bowl at night with my tastee kibbles...

Tigger the FBI cat gave me an award for being So Special! I am very grateful. Tigger is a very smart kitty, and I am very proud that she deemed me worthy of an award. Thanks, Tigger! I would like to pass the Special Award on to the Furry Kids, because they are good role models for kitties and doggies being fur-siblings; to Karl and his siblings at the Cat Realm, because they spread good karma around; and to Yao-Lin, because he is a model of graceful suffering.

Sophie and I are having lots of fun playing, but her sister Sassy is still being a brat. I told her today is Attack Tabby Tuesday, and asked her if she wanted to say anything, but she just answered:

"Hsssss!!! Rrrraauuurrrnrnrn....Chss, Chsss, Chsss!!!!!"

But because I am a nice guy, I will post her picture up here, because she is a good example of an Attack Tabby.
