Tuesday Toes

Sometimes when I go outside I get dirty toes.

I think muddy paws show that I am a manly, outdoorsy kinda guy. Momma says it shows that I'm a slob. Tomato/tomato.

Blessing of the Animals

Momma left me last weekend to go to the Big City, so I didn't get to put this up last Sunday. There are some Blessing of the Animals celebrations today, too, so it is still appropriate.

October 4 was the special day for St. Francis of Assisi. Some churches now celebrate Mr. St. Francis by having Blessing of the Animals ceremonies, which is real nice, I think. We could all use a blessing now and then, don't ya think?

St. Francis was an old hippie who lived in Italy a squillion years ago. His first name wasn't really St. He got called that after he died. He loved all living things and reminded Beans that they should be kind to animals because we should honor all creation with love and peace. He sounds like a nice guy, even though he had funny hair. Hey every-buddy! Look what the great, talented folks over at Zoolatry made up for me!

This is my Autumn Country Boy picture. It is very appropriate, because Momma said she's gonna go to the pumpkin patch to get me a pumpkin tomorrow!

And this is really appropriate, too, because I am my momma's study-buddy. She goes to Cornell and teaches there (her official title is "Doctoral Candidate," she said).

Tabby Friends on Tuesdays

Since it's Tabby Tuesday today, I thought I would introduce you all to my new cousin, Sassy.

Sassafras is still a three month-old baby, and I haven't met her yet. Granny and Poppa got her a month ago. She and her 2 siblings were found in a lady's back yard when they were only 3 weeks old, and the lady was nice and took them to a v-e-t where a kitty nurse bottle-fed them and taught them how to go potty in the box and everything. So then when they were 8 weeks old they were ready for their forever homes! Sassy is very lucky to have a forever home with Granny and Poppa, because they spoil kitties really well.

Sophie hissed at Sassy at first, but then she realized that it's cool to have a little sister, and now they play together. Oreo just ignores her, because Oreo has seen so many kitties and doggies in the past 19 years that she really doesn't care anymore.

Sassy likes to snuggle and she even lets the mini-Beans pet her. I'll meet Sassy at Christmas time.

Friday Warning

Oh man, everybuddy, I broke the rules last night. I stayed out after it got dark and didn't come back when Momma walked around the yard callin' me. I got all wet in the creek and saw some scary, scary things, and came back to our window at 9:45PM. I thought it was fun at first to be a Bad Boy and not come running when she called, but Momma was really scared and then I just felt bad. Plus I was cold and wet and hungry. I probably shouldn't do that again.

Plus, Momma told me that she had just read about Vishus Moose on the loose here in New York State now!!! They are in the Adirondacks, which is less than a squillion miles from Ithaca. This really freaked me out. So all of you New York State kitties: be very, very cautious! The Vishus Moose have invaded!!!

Hi Every-buddy! The man with the funny T-shirt dropped off our computer today, so I'm back on-line! Momma says it needed a new screen and cables and maybe some other things done in its intestines. She said that warranties are very good. I'm going to try to catch up with what you all have been doing in the past week!

Momma likes everything neat and orderly, so she lines up all of the icons on the left. That's a picture of a Cat of the Day from a few years ago, which we think is very funny, so it's our wallpaper picture.
